Purpose of the American Society of Psychoanalytic Physicians

The American Society of Psychoanalytic Physicians is an organization of physicians established for non-profit education, scientific, and professional purposes. Its objective is to further the study of psychoanalytic methods of treatment and prevention of emotional disorders and mental illness. The Society provides scientific meetings to foster its aims and to share its goals, namely research, evaluation of treatment, dissemination of information, to publish and to recognize achievement and provide professional and collegial opportunities among its members.
